EXCLUSIVE: Ali Fazal REVEALS why he is not a part of Fukrey 3

In January this year, the makers of Fukrey announced the third instalment with new posters. The pictures featured the original cast – Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Pankaj Tripathi. However, Ali Fazal seemed missing from the poster Fukrey 3, raising everyone’s eyebrows. Fans wonder if he won’t be starring in the movie. Ali gave a ‘simple’ answer when speaking about the same with Bollywood Bubble.

Ali Fazal on not doing Fukrey 3

When asked why he is not a part of the movie, the Mirzapur actor exclusively told us, “Bhai simple answer hai, dates nahi thi.” Adding to this, Pulkit quipped that when they were shooting for the movie in Delhi, he was doing Kandahar. It is a Hollywood movie where he was seen working with Gerard Butler.

Earlier, when there was a buzz around Ali being missing from Fukrey 3, Fazal dropped a statement saying, “So Zafar aayega ya nahi? Sab yahi puch rahe hain baar baar. Sorry saathiyon, iss baari nahi! Zafar bhai ko kabhi kabhi Guddu bhaiya bhi banna padhta hai. Aur do universes overlap ho jaate hain kabhi kabhi. (Everyone is asking me about Zafar not being in Fukrey. Sorry my friends, this time he won’t. At times Zafar has to become Guddu and these two universes at times overlap). Once a fukra always a fukra so I am around. But I won’t be coming on screen for the third outing of the Fukras, Bholi and Panditji”

“I would have wanted to be part of it but time and schedules didn’t allow me to. I will be back in the future at some juncture, maybe sooner than you expect. Zafar will be back after a small detour to entertain you guys,” the Khamoshiyan actor also added.
