Ashneer Grover Claims Bollywood Actors Are Overvalued

When asked who is more overvalued, Bollywood actors or startup founders, Ashneer Grover replied, “I think all the superstars are overvalued in the sense ki tumko lag raha hai tumhare naam pe picture chal rahi hai, toh phir tum fees kyu le rahe ho? Matlab, then you should have equity na. So I get surprised when people say ki arre is superstar ne Rs 40 crore liye, isne Rs 50 liye, isne Rs 80 liye, usne Rs 100 liya, aur picture kama rahi hai Rs 20 crore.”

He added, “Then I’m thinking ki yeh kar kya rahe hain, matlab? You should have faith in your own stardom, jahan you say ki yaar jab picture paise banayegi toh main bhi paise banauga. Right? So I feel sometimes very surprised ki itne bade star hone ke baad bhi tankhwa (salary) kyu le rahe ho yaar? Thoda toh jigra rakho equity uthane ka.”

Ashneer Grover is hosting the web show, Rise And Fall.
