Hirav Mehta Revists His Nervous First Meet With ‘SP Aslam’ Sanjay Dutt

When asked about his experience working alongside Sanjay Dutt aka SP Aslam, Hirav Mehta said, “Firstly, it’s a pleasure being in the same scene as him. He is a legend. Agar aapne dekha hoga, hum log different-different cars mein hain aur same scene mein hain. But frames humare completely alag the, toh humne saath mein shoot nahi kiya. Lekin same day aur same jagah pe shoot zaroor hua tha. Film City mein humare kuch close-up scenes the, toh us din mera morning shoot tha. Mere shots khatam ho gaye the, and it was my last day on the Dhurandhar set. Aditya Dhar sir, being the sweetest person ever, unhone clap karke announce kiya ki it’s a wrap for Hirav Mehta, aur sabne clap kiya. It was a wonderful moment.”

Hirav continued, “Main happy hoke vanity ki taraf ja raha tha ki ab change karke ghar jaunga, tabhi mujhe news mili ki Sanju Baba aa rahe hain. Main bola, ‘Oh s*it, yeh opportunity miss nahi kar sakta, mujhe milna hai unse.’ Main wait karne laga, jaldi se vanity mein jaake change kiya aur bahar aake wait kiya. Thodi der baad Sanjay Dutt sir aaye, aur unki woh entry, woh walk, joh sab imagine kar sakte hain. Main itna nervous ho gaya ki himmat hi nahi hui turant jaake hi-hello karne ki, toh maine wait kiya ki woh vanity se bahar aayein, thoda relax ho jaayein.”

Sharing more on his first visit, he added, “Jab woh ready hoke SP Aslam ke look mein bahar aaye, main aur darr gaya (laughs), but phir maine courage gather kiya aur unke paas gaya aur bola, ‘Hi Sanjay Dutt sir, my name is Hirav Mehta, it’s a pleasure being in the same film as you.’ Phir maine unko bataya ki main woh character play kar raha hoon joh unki car mein crash karta hai. Unka reaction dekhne layak tha. It was a very brief but really special moment with him.”

Hirav Mehta Says R. Madhavan ‘Aura Farmed’ With His Entry

Known for his soft, boy-next-door charm and warm on-screen presence, R. Madhavan surprised audiences with his bold and rebellious avatar in Dhurandhar. Sharing his perspective on this striking transition, Hirav Mehta said, “I mean, I think Dhurandhar one starts with his scene. And jab inki entry hoti hai tabhi everybody is like mind blown ki bhai look at his look and look at the way he is speaking the dialogues, smoking the cigarette. Woh joh ek aura farming bolte hai abhi Gen Z term mein, he was doing that.”
