Aadil Zafar Khan And Chitrangada Singh Open Up On Importance Of Reviews

Talking about how important review are in the industry, Aadil Zafar Khan who played Ranjit Thakur said, “It becomes clear which reviews you should pay attention to and which ones you shouldn’t. I think reviews are important because they are a way to gauge your growth as an actor. You get to know what’s working and what’s not working. You learn what you need to work on and what you don’t. But there are some reviews where it becomes clear that you don’t need to take them seriously. So I think it all depends on how intelligently you are judging and analyzing a review. But I think reviews definitely play a role.”

Adding to this, Chitrangada Singh said, “It’s definitely like I was just saying. In fact, the same thing – opinions are formed for the audiences. Before, they can… So, reviews have now become a very important part of that.”

Ritwik Bhowmik Recalls Being Called Furniture In Bandish Bandits Season 1 Reviews

Talking about Bandish Bandits Season 1 reviews, Ritwik Bhowmik said, “My first project came in 2020, and I read a lot of bad reviews about myself. After that, I started enjoying reading reviews. I always read reviews. Since childhood, actually, one of my favorite things to do was to read the reviews of films released on Fridays in Times of India. The reviews would come in the Sunday paper. How many stars did the film get, and there was a full review. I would then tell my parents, ‘Let’s watch this film. The reviews say this and that.’ It was one of my favorite things. It’s still one of my favorite things to do—watch reviews on YouTube, read reviews.”

He added, “But regarding reviews as an actor, I don’t have many feelings attached to them. It’s still just another thing, an activity for me to do. After my first project, I felt really bad because people started calling me ‘furniture’ and said, ‘You are so good in your…’ You know, the music or the season one… Some reviews came like that, and I felt really bad. I had worked so hard, and everyone else was saying I did a good job, so why were the reviews so bad?

Bhowmik concluded, “After that, touch wood, again, it will be very hard for me to say. But after that, I haven’t read any bad reviews to this day. But again, because of that experience, the feelings I had attached to reviews are no longer there. But it’s still an activity I love to do. I love to do like the first thing before I saw Bengal Chapter yesterday, I read the review.”
