‘MOM’ has a drop in numbers and ‘Guest Iin London’ falls even more on first Monday

MOM, Guest Iin London movies

Sridevi’s ‘MOM‘ dropped by around 25% on first Monday as the movie collected Rs 2.25 crore nett. The total four day business of the movie is Rs 16.50 crore nett. The movie should have done better on Monday, but the genre of the film is such that it will be liked only by a certain type of audience.

Looking at the numbers, the first week should end around Rs 22-23 crore. The movie has done a good business in Mumbai, but has not performed up to the mark in North which is not good as North has many premium multiplexes and theatres so it could have earned a strong hold in the second week, but with low numbers in that circuit, it won’t happen. The other release ‘Guest Iin London’ dropped around 50% on Monday as the movie did a business of Rs 65 lakh which takes its total to Rs 5.65 crore and that’s a poor number. There is not much scope for the movie to grow now, with such low numbers.
