‘Anupamaa’ Rupali Ganguly Welcomes ‘Tulsi Virani’ Smriti Irani Comeback On TV; Their Video Call Goes Viral – Watch

The excitement around the return of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 has fans buzzing online. Many viewers have been comparing the new show with the popular Anupamaa, wondering if Tulsi Virani’s comeback could challenge Anupamaa’s strong TRP ratings.

To put an end to any rivalry talks, Rupali Ganguly, who plays Anupamaa, reached out to Smriti Irani, the original Tulsi Virani, in a warm video call shown in the latest promo. In the call, Rupali says she had been wanting to talk to Smriti for a few days because everyone was guessing whether she would return or not. Smriti replies with a smile, saying she has to return to her family.

Rupali then happily says her Anupamaa team is excited to welcome the Kyunki family. Smriti responds that they will now keep meeting often. Rupali jokingly adds that since their shows air at 10 and 10:30 pm, they’ll meet on TV every day. This sweet exchange showed support and sisterhood between the two iconic TV women, not competition.

Actor Amar Upadhyay also spoke about the comparisons. He said that since both shows air on the same channel, Star Plus, there’s no rivalry. He explained that both lead characters are very different and shouldn’t be compared. “TV is a woman’s medium,” he said, “and each show tells a different story.”

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is returning to TV after 25 years and will air every night at 10:30 pm on Star Plus. Anupamaa continues to air at 10 pm, giving viewers two strong emotional dramas back-to-back.
