Ektaa Kapoor On Smriti Irani In Kyunki Reboot

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, one of the most iconic television shows of the early 2000s, is set to return with its original cast, including Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay. The beloved drama, which originally aired from 2000 to 2008, captured the hearts of millions with its family drama and strong characters. While Smriti Irani is busy with her political journey, producer Ektaa Kapoor recently assured her return to the show.

As reported by Hindustan Times, at a recent event, the show’s creator Ektaa R Kapoor revealed that the reboot will span 150 episodes. Explaining the decision, she said, “The love we have for this program brought everyone related to it back together to complete just those 150 episodes to reach that 2000-episode mark. This show deserves that.” Revealing an exciting scoop, Ektaa added, “We are bringing politics into entertainment—or better, a politician into entertainment,” hinting at the possible return of Tulsi Virani’s character. The original show had a successful run-time of eight years, with its climax episode being concluded in November 2008.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has remained an iconic daily soap, and its return on the small screen will certainly evoke the nostalgia factor.
