Mirzapur actor Shahnawaz Pradhan passes away at 56 moments after receiving award

Actor Shahnawaz Pradhan, who is known for his performance in the Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi web series Mirzapur has passed away. He was 56. The Mirzapur actor suffered a heart attack. Actors Shailesh Tailang, Yashpal Sharma extended heartfelt condolences and mourned his demise. CINTAA (Cine & TV Artises’ Association) made a post on their official Instagram handle, and informed about the death of actor Shahnawaz Pradhan.

Shahnawaz Pradhan dies of a heart attack at 56

Actor Yashpal Sharma shared a detailed post, explaining the unfortunate turn events on Friday evening. He mentioned that the Mirzapur actor suffered a heart attack at an awards event in the city, shortly after receiving an award. He complained of severe chest pain. Sharma said that Pradhan was immediately rushed to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital after he fell unconscious. However, sadly the doctors could not revive him.

In his post, Yashpal Sharma wrote, “Today I attended this program in Mumbai… Everything was going great… Hundreds of artists were present but shortly after receiving the award our beloved artist Shahnawaz had an attack…“

“The whole program stopped with the help of the people and the doctor picked him up and took him to Kokilaben Hospital which was the closest but no one could save him and he passed away,” informed Sharma, in his post. He further extended his deepest condolences to Pradhan’s family and said, “May his soul rest in peace and courage to the family.“

Rajesh Tailang, Pradhan’s Mirzapur co-star also took to his Twitter and mourned his death. He wrote, “Shahnawaz bhai aakhiri salaam!!! You were an amazing person and a great actor. Had a great time working with you in Mirzapur #purushram #mirzapur.”

Apart from Yashpal Sharma and Rajesh Tailang, several actors including CINTAA paid tributes to Pradhan.

On Instagram, CINTAA informed that the last rites of Pradhan will take place at 12:30 PM, on Saturday, February 18, in Mazgaon.

It was only in December 2021 that actor Bramha Mishra of Mirzapur passed away. Ali Fazal and Divyenndu Sharma had mourned his demise.
