Agastya Nanda is the son of Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and nephew to Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. Recently, he made his debut on the big screen with Sriram Raghavan’s film Ikkis and has now spoken openly about being part of the renowned Bachchan and Nanda families. Agastya Nanda addresses whether he feels any pressure from his illustrious lineage, especially as he is part Bachchan.
Agastya Nanda On Pressure Of Carrying Forward Bachchan Legacy
In a video shared by IMDb on its YouTube channel, director Sriram Raghavan asked Agastya if belonging to “legendary” families places pressure on him. Agastya responded by sharing his perspective on the legacy he carries. He explained, “I don’t feel that pressure at all because I believe that’s not solely my legacy to own. I think my surname is Nanda because I am my father’s son first and foremost. My focus is on making him proud, and that’s a legacy I hold very dearly.”
He further elaborated, “My other family members are actors. I admire and love their work. But I don’t think I can ever be them, so there’s no point in spending time trying to compare or emulate.”
