Shah Rukh Khan Govinda Saira Banu Dharmendra

Today is a sad day for fans of Bollwood. Just hours after the makers of Ikkis unveiled Dharmendra’s look from the upcoming war film, news of the actor’s demise made the headlines. As we mourn the actor and fondly remember Bollywood’s He-Man’s work in the film industry for over 6 decades, the 89 year old actor’s final rites took place at a cremation centre in Mumbai’s Vile Parle. Along with the veteran superstar’s family, several fraternity members were also spotted arriving and exiting the cremation centre.

Aside from Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda and Saira Banu were also snapped attending Dharmendra Ji’s funeral.

Shah Rukh Khan entered the crematorium under tight security. SRK’s arrival was quiet, respectful, reflecting the grief that has swept across the industry. Khan – who also visited Dharam Ji during his recent hospitalisation, refrained from speaking on the public podium.

Govinda – who also visited Dharmendra while he was admitted to Breach Candy earlier this month, was spotted at the Pawan Hans crematorium.

Other Bollywood celebs snapped entering the Pawan Hans crematorium to pay their last respects to Dharman Ji included Saira Banu, Bhushan Kumar and Zayed Khan.
