Today, talking to News18, Dharmendra said that Dilip Kumar was like an elder brother to him. He said, “It’s a black day for Indian cinema. I knew this day would come but I have never been able to prepare myself for it. I would regularly call Saira and enquire about Dilip saab’s health. I had called her on Monday and she said he was a bit ill but there was nothing to worry about. Sometimes I would just randomly pay a visit to their house and check on his health. I couldn’t see him in the condition and would start crying. Saira would cheer me up and she would often tell me that he would be fine.”
