Bollywood, as an industry, always hides behind the excuse of it’s very limited powers and they say that they are here to provide entertainment, entertainment and only entertainment. Now, after the Pulwama terror attack, the situation has totally changed and for once, the Hindi film industry has grown a spine.

Producer and filmmaker Dinesh Vijan was asked about the Pulwama attack and his decision to not release his films in Pakistan. Dinesh said, “It was a very natural decision that we made. It is one of the most horrific incidents happened ever. And I don’t want to say anything more, it’s just a small thing that we have done. It is about being Indian first, we should all stick to the solidarity. My heart goes out for the people who lost their lives at the borders. And I don’t want to speak much, because what we have done is just a small thing.”

The ‘Raabta’ director further added, “We immediately decided to do so. We have to put out what we have been doing, we took a national call that we don’t want to (release this film in Pakistan). And I think we should not think about the business right now, our Indian audience has us given so much of love whether it was ‘Stree’ or ‘Badhaai Ho’.”

For the record, Dinesh Vijan’s production house has said ‘Luka Chuppi’, ‘Made in China’ and ‘Arjun Patiala’ won’t be releasing in Pakistan.
