Here’s why Akshay Kumar agreed to act in ‘2.0’

With superstars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar coming together, ‘2.0’ is surely going to be a treat for fans across the nation. We do not usually get to witness such magical combinations on screen. No wonder fans are already gearing up for this one.

In a conversation with Bollywood Life, Akshay revealed why he gave a nod to the film.

“The script, Shankar sir, Rajini sir- the whole combination. And I always wanted to work in South. Heard so much about the professionalism. It’s great to be a part of this kind of a film. It’s been long since I have done a negative role. I played a negative role long back, in a film called “Ajnabee”. And that’s why I did it,” he said. For those uninitiated, Akshay’s look in the film demanded him to gain the perfect finish of a villain and he would have to sit for hours to get his make-up done.

‘2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film ‘Enthiran’. Also starring Amy Jackson in a pivotal role, it will release on January 25, 2018.
