Is Taapsee Pannu starring in Sania Mirza’s biopic? Here’s what the actress has to say

Taapsee Pannu is one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood. After delivering a power-packed performance in Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad, Taapsee is now gearing up for quite an impressive line up of films. A few days ago we came across reports of the actress being approached for Sania Mirza’s biopic. Taapsee has finally reacted to these reports. Read on to know what she said.

Taapsee Pannu is already prepping up for Indian cricketer Mithali Raj’s biopic Shabaash Mithu. Apparently, the makers of Sania Mirza’s biopic had approached Taapsee to play the ace tennis player.

Now finally reacting to these reports, Taapsee told SpotboyE, “Am I playing Sania Mirza? Not that I am aware of. I am not even aware of any such project.”

Apart from Shabaash Mithu, Taapsee also has Haseen Dillruba, Rashmi Rocket, Looop Lapeta and Dobaaraa in her kitty. The actress is leaving no stone unturned to prep for Mithali Raj’s biopic.

Talking about Shabaash Mithu, Rahul Dholakia will be directing the biopic. The film was announced last year and its first poster was unveiled in Janaury this year. The film is scheduled to release on February 5, 2021.

Coming back to Sania Mirza’s biopic, there were also reports claiming that Parineeti Chopra might be roped in to play the lead. However, there has been no confirmation regarding the same.
