After presenting Hit: The First Case and Hit: The Second Case, actor Nani is now stepping into the lead role with Hit: The Third Case. This film promises to be more intense and action-packed than its predecessors, with Nani playing a tough cop. It also marks the first time a Hit film will release pan-India, in multiple languages including Hindi.
Nani Hints At The Plans for A ‘HIT-Verse’ Crossover
Interestingly, the Hindi audience is already familiar with the world of Hit. In 2020, Rajkummar Rao starred in the Hindi remake of Hit: The First Case. Speaking to News18, Nani praised Rajkummar’s performance, even though he hasn’t seen the remake himself.
He said, “I haven’t seen the Hindi version of Hit yet. It was produced by Dil Raju garu. He took the rights from me. Rajkummar is a brilliant actor. I’ve watched a lot of his films and I was extremely confident that they will make a much more superior product than us. I didn’t get to watch it but I’ve heard a lot of praises about the film, especially after it released on OTT. I’ve heard such good things about his performance in it.”
Nani also shared plans for a crossover between Rajkummar’s Vikram Jaisingh and his character Arjun Sarkar. “We’ve plans of making Hit that’s set in Karnataka… Any state can be picked and chosen and a story can be set there,” he said with a laugh.
He revealed the idea of a Hit-verse wasn’t planned at first. But as each film took on a new story and state, the team decided to create a larger universe. With future films set in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Maharashtra, the franchise continues to grow.
