Sarzameen Trailer Out: Ibrahim Ali Khan-Prithviraj Sukumaran Locks Horns As Kajol Fights To Save Her Family In This High-Octane Tale Of Love And Patriotism- Watch

Just days after grabbing the attention of all with its first glimpse, the makers of Ibrahim Ali Khan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol’s Sarzameen have now unveiled the film’s trailer. The 2-minutes, 13-seconds long – packed with loads of action and emotions, gives a glimpse into the crisis an army family faces, when their son dares to go against the father. Sarzameen’s trailer begins with the voiceover of an unnamed/unseen narrator saying that there exsit some wounds that are so hurtful that they do not heal even when the scares heal. The trailer then shows Prithviraj Sukumaran playing a strict and upright army officer, who admits that he is embarrassed of his son, in front of his wife played by Kajol. Their son – played by Ibrahim, owing to his father’s coldness, grows up to become someone who becomes a terrorist and wreaks havoc over time.

The trailer then shows us Prithviraj promising to keep the nation first always, even if it mean going against his own son. Kajol is seen playing the mediating figure between the father-son duo, and doing her best to keep the family together. But will they stick by each other?

Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta & Star Studios and co-produced by Marijke deSouza & Somen Mishra, the story and screenplay of Sarzameen are penned by Soumil Shukla & Arun Singh with dialogues by Kausar Munir & Jehan Handa.

Starring Ibrahim Ali Khan, Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles, the Kayoze Irani directorial is set against the backdrop of an increasingly volatile Kashmir. It follows the lives of Vijay Menon – known for his unshakeable sense of duty and personal sacrifice, Meera – Vijay’s wife who fights to hold the family together and Harman – a young man caught between shadowed memories and unsettling truths. The film will release on JioHotstar on July 25.
