Tanishaa Mukerji Opens Up On Relationship And Breakup With Uday Chopra; Says, “I Was More Heartbroken When…”

Tanishaa Mukerji has always been in the public eye, whether for her film career or her personal relationships. The Neal ‘n’ Nikki actress breakup that affected her the most – and surprisingly, it wasn’t with Armaan Kohli, whose romance with her during Bigg Boss 7 once made headlines.

Tanishaa Mukerji On Her BreakUp With Uday Chopra 

Tanishaa revealed that her split with Uday Chopra was far more painful than her much-talked-about breakup with Armaan. Speaking to Pinkvilla, she said, “Woh itna heartbreak nahi tha (It wasn’t that big a heartbreak). I was more heartbroken when my relationship with Uday ended. We were friends, we were very close, and we had known each other for a long time.”

Tanishaa and Armaan first connected inside the Bigg Boss 7 house, where their closeness quickly became one of the season’s most-discussed storylines. Their bond continued even after the show, with public appearances together and even a spiritual trip to Vaishno Devi. But within months, the relationship ended quietly, without much explanation.

Reflecting on her personal journey, Tanishaa said she chooses not to dwell on regrets. Instead, she embraces love with hope and positivity. “I’m the kind of person who always looks at the bright side of things. Whatever happens, happens for the good. I enjoy the feeling of falling in love and I cherish the experiences it brings,” she explained.

On the professional front, Tanishaa began her acting career with Sssshhh… in 2003 and went on to appear in films like Sarkar, Neal ’n’ Nikki, and the Tamil hit Unnale Unnale, which even earned her a Vijay Award nomination. She rose to greater fame as the runner-up of Bigg Boss 7 in 2013, later appearing as a judge on the comedy show Gangs of Haseepur.
