Jersey, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri‎ witnessed a growth in the second-day collections at the box office. The Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur movie was released in theatres on April 22, Friday. And since then, it has maintained a good run at the box office. On Day 2 at the box office, Jersey saw a growth in the first Saturday collection. The Gowtam Tinnanuri‎ directorial witnessed a 45-50% growth in the collections. The Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer opened with a total collection of 3.75-4 crore nett at the box office collections!

A Box Office India report said that the Gowtam Tinnanuri directorial is heading towards the growth of around 40-50% on its second day. As per the reports, the movie should collect 5.25-5.50 crore nett.

According to the report, “Jersey is heading towards growth of around 40-50% on its second day and should collect around 5.25-5.50 crore nett. The growth on Saturday has come from the higher end properties from metros as a place like Chandigarh sees 73% growth and the bigger properties of NCR are similar to give that area big growth as well. Bangalore and Mumbai should also see big growth.

As per the report, “If this sort of growth had come across India then the film would have been on a stronger footing. Now the film will get growth of around 40-50% at an all India level and keep the hope that the film can have a Monday near the Friday number which is a must for any sort of run.”

Meanwhile, Bollywood Bubble gave Jersey four stars in its review. An excerpt from the movie review reads, “Jersey is an emotional roller coaster ride that will make you laugh, cry and also cheer for Shahid. Watch it for the stellar performances and Shahid’s incredible effort. He’s truly the best this generation has got.

The movie features Shahid, Mrunal, and Sanjay Kapur in key roles.
