Sam Bahadur box office early estimates: Vicky Kaushal starrer witnesses an impressive start, earns Rs 7.5 crores on Day 1

Vicky Kaushal is an actor par excellence and there are no two opinions on that. The actor effortlessly gets into the skin of the character. He donned the army uniform for the third time in Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur. It’s been a day movie released and audience are heaping on praise on Vicky Kaushal. The first day box office collection of Sam Bahadur is out and the movie has recorded an impressive start.

Sam Bahadur Day 1 box office collection

As per trade reports, Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur has minted around Rs 7.50 crore on day 1. The movie clashed with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and still witnessed an upward trend by the end of the day.  Sam Bahadur had an overall 29.18% Hindi Occupancy. Speaking of the occupancy in theatres, the night shows were the busiest with 49.69%, followed by evening shows, which had an occupancy of 30.55%. The afternoon shows had 20.61% occupancy and morning shows with 15.88% occupancy.

With weekend coming and Vicky stealing the show with his portrayal, the movie is expected to see an upward trend in the collection. After this collection, the biographical drama has emerged as Vicky’s second biggest opener after Uri – The Surgical Strike (Rs 8.20 cr).

Sam Bahadur review

Bollywood Bubble gave Sam Bahadur 3.5/5 stars. A part of the review read, “Vicky Kaushal is the ultimate star who will astonish you with his impeccable performance. If not anything, one should definitely watch the movie for Vicky. It is a typical Meghna Gulzar movie with the right amount of intensity and a riveting story. Sam Bahadur is a must-watch movie if historical or war movies entice you.”

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.
