EXCLUSIVE: Aamir Khan REVEALS He Wasn’t Part Of Sitaare Zameen Par’s Casting Process; Elaborates On How The 10 Neurodivergent Kids Were Zeroed In

Aamir Khan is an actor, filmmaker, and television personality who works in Hindi films. Referred to as “Mr. Perfectionist” in the media, he is known for his work in a variety of film genres. Khan has established himself as one of the most notable actors of Indian cinema. During a media interaction, Aamir Khan revealed the casting process of his and Genelia Deshmukh starrer Sitaare Zameen Par.

When asked by the Bollywood Bubble correspondent how difficult the casting of Sitaare Zameen Par was, Aamir Khan said, “Normal, not difficult at all.” Speaking of, if he approached any special schools to find these kids, Aamir said, “So we hired a casting director. So, when you are looking for actors with neurodivergence, then obviously you will look for actors in places where you can find them. So, she used her contacts to spread the word that we are testing for a film, so that when a lot of people came to test for the role. And like we do for any other role, we do a test with the actors and whoever the director finds suitable for the part. They take that individual.”

Aamir Khan also said he was not a part of the casting process. But he and the director, RS Prassana, were a part of the final process. The director shared the final list.
