Elli AvrRam Opens Up On Her Experience Working With A-List Actors
When asked about her experience working with A-list Bollywood actors, Elli AvrRam shared, “One thing I have definitely learnt from them is that they respect their work a lot. They have great discipline. They are extremely humble to everyone, and it’s really beautiful to see how professional and dedicated they are towards their craft, and that they still want to grow and keep getting better. Honestly speaking, I have worked with Akshay Kumar as well, and the beautiful thing I’ve noticed working with all these big stars is that sometimes, younger actors or actresses have a certain perception about how stars behave. But that’s completely wrong.”
Justifying, she added,” For example, let’s talk about real stars. They are very, very professional, very kind to the people they work with. From what I have seen and understood, they are not someone who throws tantrums or acts difficult. They are just focused. This is the shooting time, this is the scene, this is the work. And they go about it in a very professional manner.”
Elli Describes Bollywood Stars In One Word
Further, when she was asked to describe Aamir Khan in one word apart from being a perfectionist, Elli Avram said, “Apart from being a perfectionist, I would say that he is extremely down-to-earth. He would talk to everybody, acknowledge everyone. Very, very grounded. He also cares about your opinion, asks for your perspective on things, and actually gives it thought. If it resonates with him, he acknowledges it instead of just ignoring it or dismissing it completely.”
Talking about Amitabh Bachchan, she goes, “Extremely punctual, and also really dedicated to his work.” Further describing Dhanush in a word, the actress said, “Passionate about his art.” Asked about Aditya Roy Kapoor, Elli said, “Hard Working.” Speaking about Maniesh Paul, she said, “Also hard working.”
Elli Reflects On Her Interaction With The ‘Third’ Khan
Elli Avram has previously worked with Aamir Khan and has participated in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss. When asked whether she had any interaction with Shah Rukh Khan, Elli replied, “Yes. I remember I met Shah Rukh Khan for the first time in 2013. It was on the set of a reality show. I don’t exactly recall which one, at the time when Mickey Virus was about to be released. We were all called there — me, Manish, our director, Saurabh Varma — and that’s when I got introduced to him.”
The Malang actress added,” He was praising how I looked in the poster and all, and I was like, ‘Thank you.’ It was really a moment for me because I’ve always been a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan. Back home in Sweden, when I used to watch Bollywood films, he was the star for me. I always used to think, ‘Wow, if I could ever work with Shah Rukh Khan or at least meet him.’”
Elli Reveals First Bollywood Film She Ever Watched
Recalling her first Bollywood movie she watched, Elli shared, “To be honest, apart from many things I’ve achieved, working with him is that one dream I would call a ‘final tick’. Something that would make all my girlfriends back home go, ‘Oh my God, Elli actually worked with Shah Rukh Khan!’ Devdas was actually the first full-fledged Bollywood film I watched. I completely fell in love with it. I even made all my girlfriends sit and watch Devdas with me. All of us crying together and crushing on Shah Rukh Khan! So yeah, we were all huge fans, and I always felt that the day I work with Shah Rukh Khan, it would be something really special — not just for me, but for all of them too.”
Elli AvrRam Shares Her Take On Industry Dynamics
Sharing her perspective on industry dynamics, Elli Avram noted that the bigger the star, the more their voice tends to be heard by directors. She said, “I think this has always been the case. From my understanding, whoever is the biggest star, whoever is the more powerful one, is the one who has the final say. I think that has always been the case. You just have to surrender to it; you cannot come down like. “
Further highlighting the positive changes now in the industry, she added, “Of course, there are a lot of changes happening now because of many great actresses who are in strong positions. They are speaking up, they are putting their foot down, which is wonderful, and that’s why we are also seeing a lot of changes happening. We are having more women-centric films now. And they are also doing well. For example, there are certain films where an actress has really put her foot down and managed to not get herself cut out just because an actor pointed it out to the filmmaker or producer. So that is there, by God’s grace.”
