Shriyam Bhagnani On Insider-Outsider Debate

Shriyam emphasised that she has always chosen the audition route, believing in earning every opportunity through merit and talent. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, she said, “From my perspective, I love auditioning and clearing auditions like that is my kick because jab mei koi audition clear karti hu it feels good. So I’ve never really tried the other route, also of trying to ask for a recommendation from anyone, like my family or people outside.”

She added, “I have been very fortunate to have met very good people in the industry, otherwise as well, but I somehow enjoy doing it by myself. I also understand because I carry this surname for anyone who sees me from the outside, I may look like an insider, but my journey so far, like, ‘you decide what it’s been’ because I can’t really classify it into any one of these sections per se myself.”

Speaking about inspiration as an outsider, Shriyam named Anushka Sharma as someone she deeply admires. She praised Anushka not only for her achievements as an actress and producer but also for gracefully balancing her personal and professional life. She said, “I love Ansuhka Sharma, I love the way that she is, I love the way that she is, her personality, the way she grows, the way she came to the industry and experimented, then came up with her own production house as well. Now she’s a great mother as well. I feel like for me, she is very inspiring, like her life and personality.”
