Shah Rukh Khan as Rasmalai, Salman Khan as Gulab Jamun: If Bollywood celebrities were Diwali mithai

The festive season is here and it’s time for celebrations. The B-Townies are marking Diwali 2023 with their glitz and glam at all the parties. And while we are loving seeing them all be at their fashionable best, we thought of having some fun too. As Diwali is also about gorging on sweets, we reimagined our Bollywood celebs like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as festive mithai.

Shah Rukh Khan- Rasmalai

SRK is King Khan for a reason, thus he has to represent a royal dessert. And what better than the delicious rasmalai. It is pleasant to look at and it just melts in your mouth. Just like how SRK melts into everyone’s hearts, be it his fans or even his trolls.

Salman Khan- Gulab Jamun

Salman is the star of the masses and there is no mithai more than gulab jamun that the people love. As delicious, loved and in demand a gulab jamun is, there is no one except Bhai that can be its true representation. And with Tiger 3 releasing this Diwali, it already has become all the sweeter. To add to it, with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan together on screen, it just got even better.

Deepika Padukone- Kaju Katli

Sweets will come, sweets will go but Kaju Katli will forever be a favourite, and so will Deepika Padukone. The mithai is as elegant as the actress and the flavour of it is unique, just like DP’s craft.

Katrina Kaif- Rabdi

With moves as smooth as she has, Katrina Kaif cannot be better represented by anything else than a Rabri. It’s a sweet everyone loves to gorge on, and the case is the same with Katrina’s movies. It’s elite and classy yet wholesome, just like the actress.

Kiara Advani- Kesar Pedha

Pedha is desi at heart but the the addition of Kesar (Saffron) takes it a notch higher and a class apart. Even Kiara is as desi at heart but she also known how to glam it up when needed. Thus, she perfectly represents Kesar Pedha.

Sidharth Malhotra- Kalakand

Sweet, unassuming, delicious and trustworthy, these are the words you can use to refer both a Kalakand as well as Sidharth. The actor has always been that simple guy who just explodes on screen. Same is the case with the dessert.

Ranbir Kapoor- Rasgulla

Cool, calm, simple, sweet- these are the qualitiies of a Rasgulla. But it wouldn’t be wrong to say that even Ranbir encompasses them all and is their true representation. And who doesn’t love a Rasgulla? Just like who doesn’t love Ranbir?

Alia Bhatt- Jalebi

Alia is sweet and adorable, but her art is layered and complex. Yet when it comes on display one can’t help but just melt away in her aura. Keeping that in mind, which other mithai can better encapsulate that than a Jalebi.

Ananya Panday- Coconut Barfi

Coconut Barfi is a contemporaray dessert with the essence of tradition. That’s what even Ananya represents. No matter how much elite she might seem, Ananya is still traditional at heart.

Aditya Roy Kapur- Shahi Tukda

Anyone who has seen Aditya knows that the actor looks nothing less than a royal prince. And if we are associating a sweet to him, it has to be royal too. That’s why Shahi Tukda just seem the most approporiate for the actor.
