Janmashtami or Krishna Janmashtami marks the birthday of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. This year Janmashtami is celebrated on August 30. Like last year, this year too, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are restrictions in outdoor celebrations of the festival but celebs have posted their wishes on social media for their fans and well-wishers on the special occasion. Like Bollywood and TV celebs, South celebs too sent wishes on social media on this auspicious occasion.

Celebs like Pooja Hegde, Mahesh Babu, Rakul Preet Singh, Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal have posted wishes for their fans on social media.

Kajal Aggarwal shared a gorgeous photo of herself posing with Radha Krishna’s idol with folded hands. She was in a white dress with red flower motifs. She wrote, “श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ। ??❤️??(sic)”.

Mahesh Babu tweeted, “Wishing you all a very happy Janmashtami. May this auspicious day bring happiness, cheer and prosperity!”

Pooja Hegde wished her fans on Janmashtami as she released a new poster of her upcoming movie Radhe Shyam. “As we celebrate Janmashtami, let Vikramaditya and Prerna teach you a new meaning of love! Here’s wishing you all a very Happy Janmashtami! #RadheShyam Starring #Prabhas & Myself,” tweeted Pooja as she shared the poster.

Prabhas too wished his fans with the poster. He wrote, “Celebrate Janmashtami with this gorgeous poster brought to you by yours truly, #RadheShyam”.

For the unversed, this year, the Ashtami tithi begins at 11:25 pm on August 29 and ends at 1:59 am on August 31.
