Simran Lucknow Central analysis

Farhan Akhtar-starrer ‘Lucknow Central’ will be hitting the screens on coming Friday (September 15). It will be clashing with Hansal Mehta’s ‘Simran’ which stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. While everyone is guessing which film will take the lead at the box office, let us tell that why coming Friday is very crucial for Farhan and Kangana both.

After making his Bollywood debut in 2008 with ‘Rock On’, Farhan didn’t have a great run at the box office. Apart from a couple of multi-starrers and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ none of his films have done well at the box office. His last two releases ‘Wazir’ and ‘Rock On 2’, were big flop at the box office, so now it is very important for him to give a hit at the box office with ‘Lucknow Central’.

Talking about Kangana, her biggest hit till date is ‘Queen’. The movie changed her career and she became a star, but after ‘Queen’ she too didn’t have a great run at the box office. After ‘Queen’ she was seen in movies like ‘Revolver Rani’, ‘Ungli’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, ‘I Love NY’, ‘Katti Batti’ and ‘Rangoon’. Well, apart from ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ all her films were disaster at the box office. Her last release ‘Rangoon’ was one of the most anticipated films of the film. Despite getting good reviews the film failed at the to rake in the moolah. ‘Simran’ is the film she needs to bounce back with because after the Hansal Mehta directorial, her next movie ‘Manikarnika—The Queen of Jhansi’ is big project. When we talk about the buzz of the movies, we can surely say that thanks to Kangana’s personal controversies, ‘Simran’ has created a much better buzz than ‘Lucknow Central’. But, the Farhan-starrer looks more content-driven. So, as the content-driven films are being liked by the audiences nowadays, we won’t be surprised if even ‘LC’ gets a good run at the box office.

Well, let’s wait and watch whether ‘Simran’ and ‘Lucknow Central’ will be able to save the sinking careers of Kangana Ranaut and Farhan Akhtar respectively.
