Bigg Boss OTT 3 Fame Armaan Malik And Wives Payal, Kritika Summouned By Patiala Court For Bigamy; Petitioner Claims Marriage Contradicts Hindu Marriage Act

YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 3 fame Armaan Malik and his wives face legal issues in the Patiala court over allegations of bigamy and religious sentiments. Armaan Malik, along with his two wives, Payal and Kritika Malik, have been summoned by a Patiala district court in two separate cases, with notices requiring their appearance on September 2.

As reported by Live Hindustan, the summons follows a petition filed by Davinder Rajput, who claims Armaan Malik has committed bigamy by having four marriages. It contravenes the Hindu Marriage Act, which allows only one marriage for practising Hindus at a time.

Beyond the bigamy accusations, the petition also alleges that Armaan and Payal Malik hurt religious sentiments. It mentions that Payal dressed as the Hindu goddess Kali in a video posted on Instagram, which provoked outrage. The petitioner asserts that this act insulted religious beliefs and is punishable under Indian law.

In response to the controversy, Armaan and Payal Malik took steps toward public atonement. On July 22, the couple visited Kali Mata Temple in Patiala, where they offered prayers and apologised for their actions. The following day, they went to another Kali temple in Kharar, Mohali, where Payal reportedly observed a seven-day religious punishment involving temple cleaning and rituals.

Subsequently, the couple travelled to Haridwar to seek forgiveness from Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri of the Niranjani Akhara. During this period, Payal Malik’s health declined, leading to her hospitalisation in Mohali.
