‘Gopi Bahu’ Gia Manek Marries Long-Time Beau Varunn Jain; Shares Wedding Pictures With Love-Filled Note

Gia Manek Weds Varunn Jain

Gia Manek and Varunn Jain tied he knot in a traditional yet distinctive wedding ceremony known as Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha. For the ceremony, the actress looked stunning in a golden silk saree while Varunn complemented her in a bright yellow kurta. Gia accessorised her look with gold and red glass bangles traditional jewellry — consisting of multiple neckpieces, earring, a kamar band and a mang tikka and several gajras adorning her hair.

Sharing two pictures from the ceremony on their Instagram handles, the newlyweds captioned the post, “With the grace of Divine and Master’s and with all the love showered, we’ve stepped into this forever union — hand in hand, heart to heart. We were two friends, today we’re husband & wife. So grateful for the love, blessings and wishes from all our loved ones who made this day so special. Cheers to a lifetime of laughter, adventure, memories, and togetherness as Mr. & Mrs Gia & Varunn”

Talking about the wedding ceremony, the Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha is a spiritual wedding ritual based on yogic tradition. It is performed through the Isha Foundation established by Sadhguru. The Bhuta Shuddhi technique is designed to purify the five basic elements comprised in the human body – earth, water, fire, air, and space. Through this ceremony, an individual feels balanced, serene, and connected with one’s internal self.

Gia Manek became a household name thanks to her performance of Gopi Bahu in Saath Nibhana Saathiya. Besides this much-loved show, Manek also gained fame for shows such as Jeannie Aur Juju and Tera Mera Saath Rahe. In 2012, she participated in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5. Actor Varunn Jain gained fame after essaying the role of Mohit Rathi in Diya Aur Baati Hum.
