Hina Khan mourns the death of her father; says, ‘Grateful for checking in on me and my family during these tough times’

Actor Hina Khan’s father Aslam Khan passed away on Tuesday (April 20) due to a cardiac arrest. Hina was shooting in Kashmir for a music video. She immediately rushed back to Mumbai after she heard the news of her father’s demise. Today, Hina has issued a statement on her Instagram Stories where she has mourned the death of her father. She has also expressed her gratitude to everyone for “checking in on” her and her family “during these tough times”.

In the statement, Hina wrote, “My beloved father Aslam Khan left for heavenly abode on the 20th of April, 2021. I am grateful to each one of you for checking in on me and my family during these tough times. While me and my family are mourning the loss, my social media accounts will be handled by my team for upcoming work commitments. Thank you for your love and support(sic)”.

It is known to all Hina’s fans how close she was to her father. In most of her posts on social media, we could see her cute banter with her dad. There are many pics and videos of Hina with her dad on her Instagram handle. More often we have seen Hina’s dad pulling her legs and vice versa. During the lockdown last year, Hina and her father made videos on how to keep oneself safe during the pandemic as they asked everyone to wear masks and stay home.
