‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai!’ makers finally find Saumya Tandon’s replacement in THIS actress

‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai!’ is one of the most loved sitcoms on Indian television. However, the show’s die-hard fans were in for a rude shock when one of its lead actresses, Saumya Tandon quit the show last year. Ever since Saumya left the show, the makers of ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai!’ (BGPH) were looking out for her replacement, and looks like they have finally found someone.

According to a Times of India report, actress Nehha Pendse will now be stepping into Saumya’s shoes to play Anita Bhabhi in the sitcom. Interestingly, the makers of the show had already approached Nehha four months back but it was only recently when she accepted the offer.

The report further stated that Nehha will start shooting for ‘BGPH’ very soon. Interestingly, Nehha has previously worked with ‘BGPH’ producers Sanjay Kohli and Binaifer in ‘May I Come in Madam?’. So this will be Nehha’s second collaboration with them.

Talking about Nehha, she has done films like ‘Pyaar Koi Khel Nahin’, ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’ and ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ to name a few. She has also featured in shows like Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, ‘Bigg Boss 12’ and ‘Family Time With Kapil Sharma’ to name a few.

Previously revealing the reason why she is quitting ‘BGPH’, Saumya had told Bombay Times, “Well, you can say that it’s an impractical decision to quit a stable job, that too, in an established show. But I realised that being employed and earning a regular income was not exciting enough anymore. The desire to grow as an artiste was intense – I want to do projects where there is scope for growth.”

Shubhangi Atre, Aashif Sheikh, and Rohitash Gaud star in this popular sitcom and it would be interesting to see Nehha join the cast. Let’s see what new she brings to the show.
