Would we see Amitabh Bachchan or Anupam Kher playing Narendra Modi on-screen, soon?

It’s raining biopics in Bollywood; and the trend doesn’t seem to end anytime soon. A number of filmmakers are planning biopics on Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.

A couple of years back, Gujarati filmmaker Mitesh Patel had planned a biopic on Modi & approached actor Paresh Rawal to play the title role, to which Rawal had agreed. He also stated, , “Yes! I am playing Modiji. The script is being worked on. It was written and then re-written. Until I feel the script does justice to his life and politics, I won’t venture into it.”

Mitesh Patel’s project is still undergoing a stage of proper planning. Meanwhile we hear that a several other filmmakers are also planning on the same film. Eminent acotrs like Amitabh Bachchan & Anupam Kher are being thought about, when it comes to deciding on the title role. Even singer Babul Supriyo, who’s a new face in Indian politics, wants to play Modi as well!

We don’t yet know which project would materialise soonest; but we for sure are going to have a biopic on our PM soon!
