Aamir Khan Recalls Bonding With Salman Khan During Toughest Phase Of His Life; Says, “It Happened When I Went Through My Divorce With Reena Dutta”

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are back on screen together after years—and this time, not for a movie, but for a heartfelt and fun chat on the new talk show Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle. The two actors, who starred in the cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna, appeared on the same couch after decades, giving fans a much-awaited reunion.

Aamir Khan On His Bond With Salman Khan

The episode begins with laughter and throwbacks. Salman jokes about how he and Aamir once went to the same school but don’t remember much of it. Things soon take an emotional turn when Aamir shares a personal memory, he recalls a moment during his divorce from his first wife, Reena, when Salman came over for dinner. That, he says, is when they truly bonded. The 3 Idiots star says, “Actually, I think it happened when I went through my divorce with Reena. You remember? You had come over for dinner, and that’s when Salman and I first actually connected properly.”

“Before that, I used to feel ki bhai time pe nahi aata, humko bohot problem hoti thi Andaz Apna Apna mein (I used to feel he doesn’t come on time, we often faced problems during the shooting of Andaz Apna Apna),” Aamir adds while confessing to being judgmental, saying, “I want to say something. Salman mein bohot judgmental tha yaar, shuru shuru mein na. I was very hard as a person,” he added.

Salman listens warmly as Aamir opens up, and the exchange is one of the most genuine moments of the episode. Talking about the show, Kajol shared, “Twinkle and I have always had the most fun conversations, full of laughter and chaos. That’s where this show began.” Twinkle added, “Too Much is about being real. No rehearsed answers, just honest chats with friends from the industry—and a lot of mischief.”
