Amid Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat Renovation, Gauri Khan Sells Dadar Apartment For A 37% Profit

Gauri Khan, the renowned interior designer and wife of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has sold her luxurious 2000 sq ft apartment in Mumbai’s Dadar West area for a whopping Rs 11.61 crore, as revealed by property documents. The apartment, located on the 21st floor of the prestigious Kohinoor Altissimo project, was sold to buyers Devendra Chaukar (87.5% share) and Vandana Agarwal (12.5% share) on March 28, 2025.

Gauri Khan Sells Apartment For Rs. 11.61 Cr

This high-end transaction highlights the thriving luxury real estate market in Mumbai, where prime properties are in high demand. The apartment, which comes with two car spaces, boasts a per-square-foot rate of Rs 58,507. Notably, Gauri Khan had purchased the apartment in August 2022 for Rs 8.5 crore. And its value has appreciated by 37% since then, reaching Rs 11.61 crore as per Zapkey.

This sale is a significant indicator of the luxury real estate market’s dynamism in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has been in the news for leasing two lavish duplex apartments in Mumbai’s Pali Hill, Khar, for a rent of Rs 8.67 crore for three years. According to reports, Khan is temporarily relocating from his iconic Mannat bungalow. It is undergoing extensive renovation and expansion, which is expected to take nearly two years. The Khan family’s real estate dealings have been making headlines, showcasing their involvement in Mumbai’s high-end property market.

Mumbai’s Apartment Selling Rate

Over the past three years, Rs 7,500 crore has been invested in 49 ultra-luxury homes. Each is priced at Rs 100 crore and more, with nearly Rs 3,652 crore invested in 2024 alone. In the first two months of 2025, four ultra-luxury homes were sold, totaling Rs 850 crore, according to a study by JLL. Of these 49 homes sold during the last three years, Mumbai comprised 69% share followed by Delhi NCR, it said.
