Shekhar Suman, Kangana Ranaut

Actress Kangana Ranaut is one of the most versatile performers that Bollywood has seen. But, the actress has also been in the news for her strained relationships with her co-stars and her love affairs. Her love affair with Shekhar Suman’s son-actor Adhyayen Suman was much hyped and so was their breakup. The two are not on talking terms and leave no chances of taking digs at each other. In fact, daddy Shekhar Suman, in his recent tweets, seemed to be targeting her. (Also Read: Shekhar Suman again hits out at Kangana Ranaut after her TV interview)

On one side, when Twitter was abuzz with Shekhar’s comments, the other side had Shekhar vehemently denying calling Kangana a “cocained actress”, in an interview with Bollywood Life.

He gave clarification on his tweets by saying, “I didn’t talk about a cocained actress. Cocaine is just a metaphor in the sense it is a general statement for all those actors and actresses, primarily for those whose success has gone to their heads. Cocaine means you know, feeling high about your success.”

He further explained that how it was not targeted towards Kangana by saying, “No, that’s their misfortune and that’s their prerogative. See whatever we read even in history, it’s open to interpretation. Anything that Kabir says or Shakespeare says has 10 meanings. It’s how you interpret a thing. So if you are guilty about a certain thing then you will be like is it directed towards me? But NO! If it was to be directed towards you then your name will be mentioned, I will give you that sense of satisfaction and privilege by mentioning your name.”

He also clarified his son Adhyayen’s involvement in the tweets. He said, “But then we have to reply right? Adhyayen and me are two separate individuals despite being father and son and you need to understand that. We are not interlinked with everything that we say or do. I am an actor in my own rights, Adhyayen is an actor in his own rights and success and failures have been a part of everyone’s lives. So what goes around, comes around.”

What does Kangana have to say to these statements made by Mr Suman?
