Anud Singh Dhaka: It’s Been Long, Tiring But Very Rewarding Journey
Opening up about his journey, Anud describes it with complete honesty. He said, “It’s been long, it’s been a little tiring, it’s been a little exhausting, but also it’s been a very rewarding journey.” For him, the road has been made up of important milestones that have slowly helped him find his place in the industry.
The Psycho Saiyaan actor further added, “I’ve had so many little moments that have brought me joy, and that have really defined my career in this city, in this industry. From getting calls from casting directors, to auditioning for their parts, to finally getting selected and then doing my first film and then my first show, which was on Netflix. There have been so many moments that have, as I said, really shaped me, my career and my journey so far. If I sit down to talk about it, it could take an entire day.”
What truly stands out for him is recognition from people he once admired from a distance. Anud Singh Dhaka shares, “But, I think the appreciation from my seniors that has come my way really means a lot to me. More than the appreciation, them just taking notice of a young boy like me means a lot to me. Producers and directors whom I have looked up to, reaching out to me and offering me work, that has been very defining because I started as a fan and now I get to work with them. So yeah, these little moments have been the most defining for me.”
Anud: Even If The Role Is Challenging…
Anud keeps things simple and grounded when it comes to picking roles. He doesn’t look for challenges just to have them. He looks at the bigger picture instead. In his words, “See, for me, choosing a project that challenges me creatively is not always the idea. I love challenges, and I don’t shy away from them. But just because something doesn’t challenge me doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want to do it.”
He further explained, “It’s as simple as even if it challenges me, I’m game for it as long as the director, the producer and everybody around me is placing their trust in me. I’m very happy to go ahead, take up that challenge and emerge victorious on the other side.”
For Anud, the final decision always comes down to the story and its intent. He said, “Having said that, for me, it’s always about the story that’s been told, the vision of the director, and what the writer is trying to achieve. If those things align with me, with my conscience, with my creative choices, then I just go ahead and take it. Even if it’s challenging, there is no challenge that’s too big for me.”
Anud Singh Dhaka keeps moving forward, one role at a time, with this clear and honest attitude that makes his journey feel both personal and inspiring.
