Many filmmakers are now revealing their final date of release as the theatres across India are finally now opened. After the announcement of RRR’s release date (which will hit the screens on January 7), now we have learned that Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s Acharya also have a release date.

The father-son duo of Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer Acharya is apparently all set to hit the marquee on December 17. Earlier, some media reports had suggested that the movie would be released on December 24.
However, nothing official is out yet on the same.

For the unversed, the drama was initially scheduled for a theatrical release on May 13, 2021, however, the release was postponed due to the second wave of the pandemic. Now, the film is expected to release on December 17, 2021. Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya is the 152nd film of Chiranjeevi and the movie also stars Pooja Hegde, Kajal Aggarwal and Sonu Sood in key roles. According to reports, the shooting for the movie was recently wrapped up and now, it is in the post-production stage. The film is jointly produced by Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment.

The same is billed as a socio-political actioner. And the movie follows the life of a middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer. The film will show the protagonist fighting against the Endowments Department over the misappropriation of temple funds and donations.
