The time that we are living in today is one of the best times for Indian cinema as the barriers of language have withered down and films today are classified as Indian films irrespective of the regions they come from. The success of Telugu films like RRR and Pushpa: The Rise, and Kannada franchise KGF are true examples of that, and the latest film to join that list is Rishab Shetty’s Kantara. The film has emerged as a phenomenon and slowly it’s rising across the nation in its popularity as well as the box office numbers. Amid all this success, Rishab Shetty paid a special visit to the Thalaiva Rajinikanth and his humble gesture has just moved people.

A few days ago, Rajinikanth had praised Rishab Shetty and the film Kantara on Twitter, writing a beautiful note. He had written, “The unknown is more than the known” no one could have said this better in cinema than @hombalefilms #KantaraMovie you gave me goosebumps @shetty_rishab Rishab hats off to you as a writer, director and actor. Congrats to the whole cast and crew of this masterpiece in indian cinema (sic)”.

Touched by his words, Rishab Shetty was over the moon as he replied to Rajinikanth saying, Dear @rajinikanth sir you are biggest Superstar in India and I have been your fan since childhood. Your appreciation is my Dream come true. You inspire me to do more local stories and inspire our audiences everywhere. Thank you sir (sic)”.

Now, after exchanging words on Twitter, the Kantar actor-director went to meet the Thalaiva in person at his Chennai residence and his humble gesture there has just won netizens over. As Rishab met his idol, he bent down to touch his feet and seek Rajini sir’s blessings. The two even indulged in conversation over cinema and Rajini sir gifted a shawl to Rishab as is traditionally done in the South with guests. Sharing these priceless pictures from their meeting, Rishab wrote a note in his native language which loosely translates to, “Thank you @rajinikanth sir. We are always grateful for your appreciation of our movie #Kantara”.
