Actress Joyita Chatterjee who’s known for her good quality work in projects like ‘Baal Veer’, ‘Class Of 2020’ and others has surprised many with her latest move. The actress who’s known for always being direct and straightforward in order to call a spade a ‘spade’ has now come out in defence of Air India just days after the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad.
Joyita Chatterjee Comes Out In Support Of Air India
While the majority of netizens have been going all guns blazing at the airlines, Joyita Chatterjee actually came out in support of the airlines and its services. Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Joyita shares, “My condolences to the family of the lost soul and may the departed souls rest in peace. Whatever happened is extremely tragic and I really wish no one has to go through anything like this ever in future. May God give strength to the families to bear with this loss. While I understand the sadness around the incident, it’s also important to realize that plane crashes have been a part of history and it could have happened with any airlines. While Air India certainly needs to pull up their socks after this incident, I have a problem with other airlines using this to their advantage.”
She added, “An accident is an accident and can happen with any airline. It’s wrong to specifically target Air India for it. I feel not just Air India, each and every airline operating globally need to lift their engineering game and enhance their quality check process before giving any flight the go-ahead to fly. This is an issue about aviation overall and not just Air India. Let’s not mix the two. In fact, I travel to the USA every year and mostly I travel with Air India itself. I always had a good experience with them, be it with the crew and staff or otherwise. They are always very sweet and humble. In fact, I have had the experience of other International airlines where actually the cabin crew are at times very rude.”
“So, I strongly feel this should not be made an ‘Air India’ issue and people should look at the larger scheme of things. It could have happened with any airline. My words might come harsh but I am just being practical and brutally honest. So, I feel the aviation industry needs to enhance its game. Let’s not divert from the main issue and make it about just Air India. Safety is paramount for everyone, irrespective of the airline in question,” she concluded.
Well, it seems like actress Joyita Chatterjee has certainly kept some really conclusive points about the incident and here’s hoping that the main problem gets addressed and there’s no diversion from the main issue of passenger safety after this horrific crash that unfortunately took away the lives of so many individuals.
