After Sonu Sood, now yet another actor has set an example. Kannada actor Arjun Gowda has turned ambulance driver to help the Covid affected people. He has started Project Smile Trust that provides medical help to Covid-19 patients. He has been using his ambulance to provide services to Covid-19 patients in Karnataka. The Trust also helps with the final rites of people who have succumbed to the deadly virus. He is getting lots of praise from his fans on social media for his noble deed.

He told The Times of India that he has been on the road for a couple of days and has already helped out around half a dozen people with assistance for final rites. “We want to ensure that we help out anyone in need irrespective of where they come from or what religion they practice,” said Arjun.

Arjun Gowda also said he plans to continue with this help for the next couple of months. He also said that he is ready to travel across town for help. Gowda further said, “I ended up taking someone who lives in Kengeri all the way to Whitefield to get them admitted to the hospital. I plan on continuing with this help for the next couple of months as the current situation is quite bad and I want to do my bit to people in whatever little way that I can.”

Arjun wrote in a post on Instagram that he has taken all necessary precautions and training.

India is currently battling with the second wave of Covid-19. Many celebs like Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Sonu Sood, Bhumi Pednekar, and others have put up SOS messages on their social media handles requesting oxygen cylinders, Remdesivir, hospital beds, etc.
