Akshay Hrithik

Akshay Kumar‘s ‘Rustom’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ clashed at the box office this Friday. Though their films have locked horns at the box office and in the ensuing battle ‘Rustom’ has moved far ahead of ‘Mohenjo Daro’. The Khiladi affirms that there is no bad blood between the two of them and they are still friends.

Akshay’s ‘Rustom’ has emerged as the winner and earned over Rs 50 crore in the country while Hrithik’s film just managed to garner Rs 30 crore at the box office.

Akshay Kumar clears the air about rumours implying the change of equation between him and Duggu. He said, “We are still neighbours. We are still friends (and) we still talk to each other and eat together.”

The ‘Baby’ actor further added that, “It is not a clash. Do not give it a word clash. Clash is a wrong word (and) we do not clash with each other. We always pray that movies should run at the box office, if the films do well, actors will also do well and eventually the film industry will run. We want to make films like in Hollywood. They make big action films and we would also like to do it. And that can only happen if all films work.”

Many Bollywood celebrities too were seen going out of their way to promote the ‘Airlift’ actor’s film on their social network handle. Speaking about it Akshay said, “It was very good that my colleagues and others with whom I have not worked also came ahead (to promote Rustom). I am very thankful to them for supporting my film. They (actors) also tweeted about my film. It does work well. I think this trend (of actors promoting films of their colleagues) should continue and we should do it with other films. I feel everybody’s film should run. It is important for the film industry.”

On being asked if Hrithik congratulated him, Akshay said, “No he hasn’t till now.”

Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming venture ‘Crash’ that will be releasing on Independence Day weekend 2017.
