In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Mohit Suri revealed why he replaced KK with Arijit Singh in Aditya Roy Kapur’s Aashiqui 2.

Mohit Suri On Replacing KK With Arijit Singh For Aashiqui 2

When shown a picture of him and Arijit Singh, Mohit Suri recalled their Aashiqui 2 music recording days. He said, “This is when I took this picture; I wanted to tell the world that Arijit Singh does exist. You can’t build a music career or image without acknowledging that, and I’ve met him in real life. He’s not someone you only catch in shows and all that. He does normal things too, and I think he’s a very special guy.”

Speaking of, if KK was initially chosen to sing in Aashiqui 2 for Aditya Roy Kapur, Mohit clarified, “Yeah. KK did one song, and then I just felt that KK’s voice was so good for Emraan. But when I was launching a new guy like Aditya, I needed a newer voice because KK’s voice would sound too mature for him. So I went insane looking for a new singer. I didn’t do all the songs with just one singer, only one song.”
