Actress Taapsee Pannu who left a mark on the audience with her spunky Bollywood debut in the remake of classic ‘Chashme baddoor’, and wowed us with her intense act opposite Akshay Kumar in ‘Baby’, will now be seen in the upcoming thriller ‘Pink’. The Shoojit Sircar production that has been directed by Aniruddha Roy Choudhary also has megastar Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role, with grey shades. The actress, who is a top grosser in Tamil and Telugu films is excited about her latest flick and considers it to be one of the high points of her career.

Delhi girl Taapsee who is playing the role of a molestation victim in the social thriller says , “Pink is closest to me in real life. There is the same independent streak, even the body language is of a typical Delhi girl. What I understood during the process is the kind of trauma a victim goes through, how they are ‘molested’ once again in courts.”

The actress who is a known name in Tollywood was also happy to work in a film where she did not need a translator to convey the meaning of the dialogues to her. She added, “Knowing the language really helped. I started loving my job once I began doing Bollywood films. It was nice for once not to wait for your lines. I always told people I knew to act, but only now do they tell me ‘oh, so you can act’. I am like raw dough that can be moulded in any way. Thankfully, I am getting better opportunities now.”

Speaking about her trials and tribulations, Taapsee Pannu also added that, though South Industry is a predominantly male dominated, it does not mean that actresses are treated in an inferior manner. In fact, the actresses are given total respect on the sets and are treated like queens, which she sometimes finds intimidating.

She confessed that she is an independent girl who makes her own career choices and is an objective actor never happy with her work. Big B is a source of inspiration to the fiery Punjaban who is floored with his preparation for each role till this date. The beauty with brains(Taapsee is a computer engineer) fiercely guards her privacy on social networking sites as she prefers to keep her personal life away from professional life. Her love for travel gets her to explore new places to experiment with the local cuisine as she finds food a mood elevator. A trained Kathak dancer from Shiamak Dhavar’s dance institute the beauty has three projects in her kitty. Two in Hindi and one in Telugu.

She revealed the things that she hates the most, that is having to get dressed while travelling to maintain status and the foodie that she is she loves to intake anything except gluten and lactose food.

For now, Taapsee Pannu is solely concentrating on ‘Pink’ that will be releasing on September 16, 2016.
