Trisha Krishnan’s Chennai Residence Receives Bomb Threats; Police Confirm Hoax

In recent months, Tamil Nadu has experienced a surge in bomb hoaxes, causing widespread panic across the state. On Friday, a bomb threat was made targeting the residence of popular actress Trisha Krishnan. Authorities responded swiftly with sniffer dogs and a thorough search operation. Fortunately, the threat was found to be a hoax.

The police arrived promptly at Trisha’s residence in Teynampet after receiving the alert, deploying sniffer dogs to conduct a detailed search. After an exhaustive investigation, officials confirmed that the threat was false. It has been reported that prominent figures, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, also received similar threats recently.

While these threats have been declared hoaxes, the police are actively working to identify those responsible, especially given the recent increase in such incidents. Just days prior, a bomb threat was made to actor Vijay’s residence in Neelankarai, prompting a police investigation. Last month, another threat was directed at the residence of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami, raising concerns across the region.

Trisha has several upcoming projects. She will star in the fantasy film Vishwambhara and in Karuppu, directed by R. J. Balaji.

About Vishwambhara

Vishwambhara, produced by Vikram, Vamsi, and Pramod under UV Creations, combines mythology with emotion and is expected to be a visual spectacle. The film is scheduled for release in summer 2026. Announcing the project, superstar Chiranjeevi praised it as a captivating story reminiscent of Chandamama, appealing to both children and the young at heart.

About Karuppu

Karuppu is an action-packed entertainer featuring Suriya as a lawyer named Saravanan. The film also features Malayalam actors Indrans, Sshivada, and Swasika, along with Tamil actors Yogi Babu and Natty in key roles. The soundtrack is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, with GK Vishnu handling cinematography.

Trisha’s most recent film was Thug Life, in which she starred alongside Kamal Haasan.
